Today in class we created oobleck! It's a sticky, strange substance that acts much like Earth's mantle. Over the weekend, write a half-page reflection about your experience in class and how oobleck can be a model of the mantle. Make sure to use vocabulary words in your reflection. Some ideas: viscosity, mantle, asthenosphere, lithosphere, convection, convection current. Notes from today's class

ALSO - PLEASE sign up for remind 101. Today, you all received an interactive textbook (IT). This is something to keep in your locker at school. Occasionally we will use it in class, and occasionally we will use it for homework. DO NOT KEEP IT AT HOME. Tonight's homework is to complete Chapter 4, Section 1 (Ch4,S1). Completion entails reading the pages and answering any questions related to it.
Don't forget, there is a quiz Today was out second day of class. Students are switching for the first time and are getting a feel of what middle school is like. Tonight's homework includes:
